ATLANTA, GA (December 6, 2012) -- Nancy See, Senior Vice President, Managing Broker and Founding Partner of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby International, was installed as President of the Atlanta Board of REALTORS® (ABR) on December 6 at ABR's annual meeting and awards luncheon held at the Cherokee Town Club in Buckhead. Todd Emerson, Senior Vice President and Managing Broker for Harry Norman, REALTORS® was named President-Elect.
Ms. See, who replaces outgoing President Mitch Kaminer of Re/Max Paramount Properties, has been a licensed agent since 1984, and a managing broker since 1994. After ten years of selling real estate in Atlanta, she assumed responsibility as managing broker of a major real estate firm and during her tenure expanded the firm’s principal office from 45 agents to 125, with annual sales over $500 million. In her current position, she oversees management of two Atlanta-based Sotheby offices, as well as recruitment. She has been a member of ABR since 1984 and in addition to her election as President, she has also served on the Executive Committee, was Chairman of the Million Dollar Club Committee and Co-Chair of the Auction Committee. In addition, she also served as President of the Atlanta Chapter of Women’s Council of REALTORS®. Her community service includes membership in the Junior League of Atlanta and the National Society of Colonial Dames.
Currently Senior Vice President and Managing Broker of Harry Norman, REALTORS® Atlanta Perimeter and Blue Ridge offices, Mr. Emerson began his real estate career in 1998 when he joined his mother's already successful real estate business. He was recognized as Rookie of the Year his first full year in real estate and two years later was recognized as Agent of the Year. In 2005, he was named Associate Managing Broker of the Buckhead office of Harry Norman, REALTORS® and soon after managed his own office. Mr. Emerson has been the Managing Broker of the Atlanta Perimeter since 2008, and became the Managing Broker of the Blue Ridge Office in 2009. At ABR, he served as Vice President of Administration & Finance, was the former Vice President and now current Chairperson for the Governmental and Community Affairs Committee, as well as Vice President of Professional Development, Orientation Chair, a three-term Director and a member of the Professional Standards Committee.

Anne Gault was named REALTOR® of the Year. Ms. Gault, of Century 21 Results Realty Services in Cumming, was selected in recognition of her outstanding work on behalf of all Realtors in Georgia. As past President of the Georgia Association of REALTORS®, she has worked tirelessly to advocate for the profession and has served as an ambassador for the association to all licensees. A native Atlantan, Ms. Gault has been a Realtor for nearly 25 years.
Alice McDonough was presented with the Sally Washburn Lifetime Achievement Award in tribute to her dedication and service to ABR and the industry in more than 30 years of membership. Also a native Atlantan, She served as president of the Atlanta Board of REALTORS® in 2004, was honored as REALTOR® of the Year in 2003 and has consistently been recognized as a Top 20 producer by ABR for sales volume. In 2009 she received the distinguished E.A. Isakson Award for vision and leadership in the real estate community. She also actively gives her time to civic and community organizations, including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where she served on the Foundation Board of Directors. She is an agent with Dorsey-Alston Company, REALTORS® in Buckhead.
Lane Jones received the President's Award from 2012 President Mitch Kaminer. Managing Broker for Harry Norman, REALTORS® Cobb Marietta office, she has 13 years of real estate experience and a proven track record of success and effective leadership. In presenting the award, Mr. Kaminer cited Ms. Jones's extraordinary behind-the-scenes support throughout his tenure, as well as her "willing spirit to do anything that was necessary to get the job done." She served as a 2002-03 Director of the Cobb Association of REALTORS® and currently serves on both the ABR Board of Directors and the Georgia Institute of Real Estate Board of Governors, and is also serving a three-year term on the Professional Standards Committee for ABR.
Brian Hartley of First Citizen Bank and Trust Company was named Affiliate of the Year in recognition of his extensive participation and volunteer activity on numerous ABR committees. In selecting Mr. Hartley, the nominating committee cited his energy, enthusiasm, hard work and follow through. He is as a member of the Government Affairs, Membership, Professional Development, and Fundraising Committees. He also served on the Board in 2012 for the Cocktails for Camp Charity Event. Recognized by the Georgia Association of Mortgage Bankers as one of the top loan originators in Georgia, he is the recipient of their Gold Award which recognizes mortgage loan originator excellence.
