Showcase 2008

On Wednesday, August 20th, the Atlanta Board of REALTORS® and First Multiple Listing Service - FMLS, in cooperation with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and ajchomefinder.com, will present SHOWCASE 2008, the Southeast Residential Real Estate Trade Show.

2009 Slate of Proposed Officers & Directors

Pursuant to the By-Laws, Article XI, Section 7, Sub-section (b) which requires the Nominating Committee to nominate a slate of Officers and Directors of the Board to present to the Board of Directors and to provide the Realtor members with written notice of the slate of nominees in September. 3rd FREE CE for ABR Members

Code of Ethics: Your Promise of Professionalism

The Atlanta Board will be hosting a FREE CE class on Wednesday, August 27th at The Atlanta REALTORS® Center.  "Code of Ethics: Your Promise of Professionalism" will be taught by Greg Dunn, ABR, GRI.  The deadline to complete the NAR-mandated Code of Ethics Training is only a few months away, so please make every effort to attend this training. This course is presented in conjunction with the Georgia Institute of Real Estate.  The program will run from 9:15 AM until 12:15 PM.  This class will be eligible for 3 hours of continuing education credit.  Take advantage of this opportunity to satisfy your Code of Ethics Training requirement and receive free CE at the same time.  Click here to register online.  Limited seating is available and membership will be verified.

YCR Membership Drive

The purpose of the Young Council of REALTORS® is to provide professional growth, education, business opportunities, and networking with emphasis on board participation specific to the younger members of the Board.  The Young Council Planning Committee has scheduling several activities, both educational and social for the 2008 calendar year. For the remainder of the year and going forward, these activities will be open only to YCR members.

Quadrennial Code of Ethics Training

Must be completed by December 31, 2008

Between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2008, every REALTOR® is required to complete 2 1/2 hours of Code of Ethics training. REALTORS® who have joined the association after January 1, 2005 and attended Orientation, have already fulfilled their training requirements. All other members must complete their training by December 31, 2008 to continue their membership with the Board of REALTORS®.

Failure to complete the required periodic ethics training shall be considered a violation of a membership duty; for which, REALTOR® membership shall be suspended until such time as the required training has been completed.
